347 Stainless Steel Round Bar: 347 (UNS S34700) is a niobium-stabilized chromium-nickel austenitic grade for selected thermal exposures. It provides resistance to sensitization in suitable conditions, but differs from titanium-stabilized 321.

Standard 347 and high-carbon 347H are distinct purchasing designations.
Common applications include thermal-system fittings, precision fasteners and specialty machined parts. The correct steel grade depends on operating environment, hardness or corrosion criteria, machining requirements, and traceability. An engineer should approve any alternative material designation and required temper before production.
