450 Steel — Grade and Specification Identification

450 Steel — Grade Identification Required. The expression “450 steel” is not, by itself, a sufficient alloy designation to establish chemistry, tensile strength, hardness, corrosion performance, or appropriate heat treatment. Similar-looking names can refer to different materials and manufactured products. Mozaic Precision Metals will quote the requested steel only after the exact mill grade and specification are identified.

What Do You Mean by 450 Steel?

We intentionally do not publish chemical composition or mechanical values for an undefined grade. Any supplier quote must use the correct specified material.
