673 Manganese Bronze Round Bar

673 manganese bronze (UNS C67300) is a wrought copper-zinc alloy used for bushings, pins, bearings, fasteners, and wear-related machined components. Despite the trade name, C67300 is not aluminum bronze. It contains manganese and silicon with copper and zinc, and its actual mechanical properties depend on temper and section size.

Applications and Grade Selection

673 bronze is considered for wear components, lead-screw nuts, bushings, and machined hardware. Specify mating surface, load, lubrication and tolerances; these affect service suitability. If aluminum bronze is required, compare 954 aluminum bronze instead of substituting another bronze by name.

Precision Ground Bar Stock and Purchasing

Common Questions

Is 673 bronze the same as C954 aluminum bronze?

No. C67300 is a copper-zinc-manganese-silicon alloy, whereas C95400 is an aluminum-bronze grade with different chemistry and performance.

Do published 673 bronze strength figures apply to any diameter?

No. Mechanical-property references must be matched to the actual material condition, bar size, and purchasing specification.
